In Grade Eight, we had a visit from a young seminary student. He was getting ready to be accepted into the priesthood.
During question period, I raised my hand, and asked this question:
"Why can't women be priests?"
He gave me some bullshit answer, something about "you can't be a priest unless you get a calling from God."
I did ask why all women all over the world don't get that calling. He ignored me and went on to answer the next question.
Even at 14 years old, I knew bullshit when I heard it.
Call me a rebel. Anytime.
